First we'll briefly define SEO, or Search Engine Optimization. In layman's terms it means making your Shopify store attractive to search engines like Google so that they will rank you highly in their search results, and so that when the link to your site comes up in the search results, it's more likely to be clicked.
And of course having a high ranking in search results means free, qualified traffic. So it's pretty important. However, most store owners haven't had any training with SEO, they've just heard it's something they need to do, and it can seem a little fuzzy and scary.
Fortunately it's not as hard as it may seem, and Shopify has great support for SEO built right into the platform. In this tutorial I'm going to outline exactly how you can optimize your shop for search engines, like Google, in just 7 days.
I should note, that while what I'm going to teach you here will require a fair bit of work on your part, there's nothing I'm going to suggest here that is complicated, and I'll be walking you step-by-step through all of it.
